The Oregonian Editorial Board Is At It Again And It's Got That Smell Of LNG All Over It?

GRP: Uh-Oh!!!! The Oregonian Editorial Board Has Come Up With Yet, Another Editorial That Strangely Stinks Of What Would Appear To Be , Once Again, Obvious Input From Bradwood Landing/NSNG Because It Sure Isn't From Any On-Scene Reporter From Their Staff That Would Have A "Hoot-In-Hell's Idea" Of What Was Actually Going On Down Here. Who's their Rep Down Here, Lori Tobias Is It?

Recall is being misused in Clatsop LNG fight
By The Oregonian Editorial Board
September 26, 2009, 10:02AM

Wrongheaded recall elections looming in Clatsop County are a sure sign the fight over liquefied natural gas development there has gotten out of hand.

GRP: Fitting irony that the comments to this...this...piece of...Seemingly pro-lng propaganda, from The Oregonian, seems to match the majority of sentiment of the citizens of Clatsop County and The Lower Columbia River region, as it has from day one and that is, they do not appear to be in favor of it or the elected and appointed officials serving in their trust colluding with these private "Energy Speculators" to ram this stuff down their throats as the record should clearly show.

Sure they do, if they assume Joe Desmond or some comparable ilk with Bradwood Landing/NSNG has all the facts but their safe zone is calling an "Editorial".

We all really know what's going on down here don't we?

So, let's see, everything that is pro LNG is developed by the evil LNG companies and delivered by their evil minions like elected officials, the largest newspaper in Oregon, etc. But everything anti LNG is developed by the good hearted and extremely intelligent residents of Clatsop County like you, Laurie Caplin, Roger Rocka, Jan Mitchel (or is that Rocka - did she ever take her husband's name?)and other failed wantabe politicians? Is that the deal in your world, McGee? Or, is it that you are anti LNG (as well as anti everything else, following the Rocka plan) and simply use bogus polls and information to mislead people into believing what you want them to believe?

    Who's asking?

  5. Does Anon REALLY think that the ONLY people in Clatsop County opposed to LNG are Roger Rocka and Laurie Caplan and their jingositic "we was borned here" crap?
If so why not have their "local elected officials" they say are doing so a darned fine job put it on the ballot?
And if they support our "hard working elected officials" then they must be even more in support of Rhone, Bergin, and Marquis.

  6. There's a whole other Republican Party out there besides that Lee, Hazen,Autio,Bridgens and Silent Majority gang that does not support this LNG Scam so don't blame it all on those Progressives and Tree Huggers.

yeah, we know...and it's a bunch of crap-the Oregonian got it right-of course, you're in love with The Daily Astorian and we all know what a bunch of liars that special interest serving "editorial" staff is.

  8. And of course "Anonym 11:13PM", the 95% "Anti-Bradwood/NSNG Concocted Editorial" sentiment pretty much showed "The Oregonian" has been fed a bunch of "Horse Poop" and again, their safety net will be calling it an editorial of which they do not necessarily condone or condemn.

How so? You continue to go gaga cutting and pasting all the anti LNG puff pieces spoon fed you by the Daily Assholian and the out of area anti-ilk. You people are a disgrace to the Democratic party with your selfish self centered contempt of the working men and women of this region. You're concerned more about catering to the whims of a few selfish real estated speculators from out of the area than economic stability for our people. We will fight this gentrication and elitism until the last dog is hung.

McGee is a Republican. Whether that's disgraceful to the Democratic party is hard to say, but it doesn't shine a great light on the GOP either, although their only light these days seems to be a flashing red light.

This is McGee's old "call me" tactic that he used in his run for port commissioner to avoid discussing issues he has no knowledge of. Whatever hoops he has you jump through, he will never follow through with an answer to your question. Just watch how he reacts to this.

Au contraire, Grasshopper. It is you who keeps showing up for the lessons from your masters. You see, Grasshopper, when the pupil is ready the teacher will appear. I've tried to enlighten you the past couple of years about how things really are, but you are thick headed and blind to reality. Bradwood will be built because it is our destiny. It doesnt matter how many antis arrive here from California and beyond to try to have their way by crying and whining. They don't have the money or political muscle to stop what we do.It is us, McGee, the landed descendants of the pioneers who do have the resources and the political power to fullfill the promise made so long ago to our ancestors that if we stick with it, prosperity and financial security will be ours and our children, grandchildren and beyond into the future. Remember, McGee, I'm the one who threw you the bone about exporting of the secret but rich gas deposits beneath our lands. Told you that this importing was just a ruse designed to get people looking the other way. You scoffed, but you noticed the recent furor over the raised by the antis at the idea of export that got the Bradwood people issuing big denials. No matter, in the end it will not matter. We've known long before noisey pipsqueaking clowns like Aurebach, Rocka, Don West and all the other fancypants poodle pulling outsiders ever thought about moving to Oregon and strutting around like they know whats best for our people and our area. It's guys like me who run the northwest, McGee, and there's thousands of us. Nobody is going to stop whats coming and thats the way it is. You think just because you move into Astoria that it allows you idiots to actually control our future and the river and valley that is our economic lifeline to the world? We laugh at you-we've been running things here for generations and will continue to do so. You squawk about one little measley pipeline from Bradwood to Longview? Ha!! You can't fathom what is coming because you don't have a clue and never have. If you were a smart man, you'd jump sides and be pro LNG because it is the right thing to do

What brand of ganga are you smoking?
Does anyone really think that in the very unlikely event someone fronts $1.5 billion to build his plant that the high-paid construction jobs will be "reserved" for locals?
Then how many jobs remain and what kind?
    Security guards?
We give up fishing that part (meaning most) of the Columbia for a couple dozen security officer jobs?
You "anons' keep whining about Laurie Caplan and Roger Rocka as if they were the only ones who felt that way.
How do you thing Dirk Rhone got elected by the working class folks of his district?
Why do you think Richard Lee got recalled by such a large margin?
Denial is not a river in Egypt.

  38. Anonymous8:06 PM

Not your "destiny" "John", our destiny. Enconomic stability and financial security trump your recreational fishery-besides, no one is going to force you to stop fishing and you know it. And if you think it's just about a "a couple of dozen security officer jobs" your either lying or your intellectually challenged. Rhohne won because he won. Lee's undoing was for the voter's were bamboozled by a calculated smear campaign via the press which included innuendo, lies and damn lies. Also, here's a little fact for you, ganja boy-Bradwood will be built regardless of who is on the BOCC-it can't and won't be stopped. Get it? You better get used to it or move somewhere else. No one is saying that the "high priced construction jobs" will be reserved for locals, either, so quit whinning about that. Was the Astoria Meglar Bridge built by exlusively "local" workers? No, it was not. South Jetty? Wauna Mill? The Warrenton mega shopping complexs? No on those too. Oh wait, unless you consider that people in the building and marine contstruction trades from Oregon and Washington aren't local. It's going to put a lot of men, machinery and concrete plants with in a fifty mile radius of the site to work. Clowns like Rocka, Schmidt, Caplan, Aurebach, Huhtala et al can't do a thing about it-so you just better accept it and get on with whatever life you got. Which I hope consists of more than crying about your supposed lost fishing time.

Now you have a real nice day, ya hear.
