A grassroots movement (often referenced in the context of a political movement) is one driven by the constituents of a community. GRP does not necessarily condone or support the issues presented here. "We demand that big business give the people a square deal; in return we must insist that when anyone engaged in big business honestly endeavors to do right he shall himself be given a square deal." Astoria: "22"
The number of empty storefronts counted from 8th Street to the empty Mini-Mart at Mill Pond Village on a recent early evening drive through downtown.

11th and Commercial?
That would be The Godfather Books, Dealls Too, Bank and Silver Salmon corner right?
So...What was your proposal for that downtown Astoria property?
Have you contacted ADHDA with this since they are the one's attempting to put a positive face on downtown Astoria's face and dropping names like CEDR and others as active partners on this effort?
@Anon: that building was in the process of being sold, but the deal fell through. Try again; the building owner (Jeff Martin) is a good guy and will work with you; he was probably just assuming he wasn't going to be the building owner any more.
