Wal-Mart;Wow! Was I Wrong!

All this time my money, along with a bunch of others, would have been on Wal-Mart going in out at Iverson Farms Property at Miles Crossing but, that "Secret Nygaard Property" behind Putnam's ProLube?

That's what I hear.

Yeah, that property nobody knows about.

That property that nobody in Clatsop County knows about what's going to happen there but Martin Nygaard?

Could this be true?

Wonder what's going in beside Shilo Inn?

Secrecy?

Silence?

Disrespect of Community?

Collusion?

Can you explain for me in detail why it is you believe that a private land owner must consult with you (or any other anti-development individuals) about their proposed projects when it involves private money on private property?

Last time I checked it's private property. If he wants to sell or lease it to Walmart, that is strictly his concern. It's not uncommon for the business to remain nameless during negotiations.

Martin Nygaard(sp)?

Consult with me about what to do with his property?

How laughable.

Yeah, you're right, his money, his property, so yeah, go for it.

Ummm.....land use laws maybe?
Just because Warrenton wants to spread its legs for any company from an Aluminum Plant to heavens knows what - all of whom stand them up...doesn't mean the actual citizens don't have some control.
That's why Warrenton as a "town" doesn't exist, just as a strip mall.

I still say it's not too late to hook that place up with a creative and sensitve planner and shape it into a great place to live.

So, McGee, you don't believe in the right of a private property owner to do what he wants with his property. How do you feel about doing what you want with your home? Are you a socialist or a communist?
