Clatsop County Commissioner Patricia Roberts Recall Moves A Step Closer to Reality

Accountability for District 2, a citizens group organized to petition for a Recall Election of Clatsop County Commissioner Patricia Roberts, delivered to Clatsop County Clerk, Catherine Garber on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, 525 signatures for validation and approval to establish the measure to take Roberts' recall from public office to a vote. The minimum required, qualified signatures for Roberts district is 441.

It will take about 10 days for County Elections to validiate the signatures and once done and approved, Roberts will have 5 days to resign from her District 2 seat or announce her intention to stand for a Recall Election with the election occuring within 35 days which would be around December 8, 2009.

If you are a member of Clatsop County Commission District 2 and wish to vote, make certain your voter registration information is current well ahead of the dealine dates with the Elections Office.

the recallers have had the starch knocked out of them--they will fold up instead of attempting to oust a firmly entrenched and respected in her district Roberts-they have no one who can touch her
