She's really a "Jobs Democrat" or better yet, "I'm just going to talk about "Jobs" when I have my ass in a ringer "Democrat"

Education doesn't seem to be an area she excells in anyway.

Yes, those evil retirees that have helped revitalize Astoria would never steal photos that show some student asleep.
Maybe this is why Samuelson got recalled from the school board.

JHC Marc, why on earth are you so OBSESSED with Ann? She is a hard worker, who gave up her family business so she could work as a Commissioner for this County. And she has worked very hard, despite the constant barrage of lies and accusations spewed her way by you and your buds.

You remind me of some of the republican talk radio hosts - making up reasons to bash democrats....well, Ann IS a good Democrat, and our local Democratic Party should be brought up before an ethics review board (if one existed) for some of the hateful things they've done.

If all these things are lies Ann should take some of that huge pile of money she's getting from businesses that do business with the county and sue whoever is saying false things about her.
If she is doing so many wonderful things then she has nothing to worry about with the recall.
Instead she writes (another) letter to the Dail A slamming North County for not paying enough taxes.
And she has the gall to claim she wants to work to "heal the north/south county divide."
Nice work Ann, just like all the other things you take credit for that other people do the real work on.

Bradwood is never going to happen, believe me.

with the feds and the state in approval Bradwood will go online within the next five years

It could indeed and of course, there are those that say it will never happen and right now, I wouldn't put money on either prospect as I think the crap is getting ready to hit the fan on this entire LNG circus.

the only ones saying it ain't gonna happen are the wishfull thinkin' antis who by their nature choose to keep their heads secured up their butts to avoid reality. The reality is there are going to be plenty of new wells in various parts of the Northwest-the surplus of which is gonna be exported around the pacific rim. That is what is going on and that is why pipelines and shipping terminals a plenty are also in the works. This really isn't "new" news-word was out in the early 1980s-but I reckon a lot of these antis weren't here to pay attention-it can't be stopped-too much money to be made off of it. And if anyone thinks the feds or states will disallow a source of revenue, well, better think again

Palomar East Pipeline and Sunstone Pipeline are the Golden Eggs for us in, as it is called, "The West Coast Market" and Northwest Natural Gas doesn't care in the end and the propspects of Oregon LNG and Bradwood Landing happening are just gravy to go on the meat and just another resource to keep their product flowing and them in business.

Either/or those pipelines will link us up with East of The Rockies NG and tap into the new pipeline coming out of Alaska across Alberta as the "Thays" say it will terminate in the Midwest.

You may be right and it may happen but, I don't think so, at least in the near future and this LNG Process is very cyclic and the upsurge and ebb in interest, if you do look back over history, has and does happen.

there are plenty of markets for natural gas thanks to the new shipping technology technology labled LNG...take Hawaii for example--those islands used to get their electricity from coal fired plants, then it went to oil...clean burning natural gas, a resource they don't have, is the electrical generation fuel of their future--they have to get it from somewhere, why not ship from the Columbia River? Then there's Japan, Korea, too--how many smaller island nations will be needing an upgrade in their domestic electricity production capabilities, too? Enough to make the exporting of PNW sourced natural gas a lucrative enterprise indeed. Support the future, support your states, and support your neighbors by encouraging development and marketing of this valuable local resource to insure clean burning energy around the Pacific

Your argument is not invalid at all but,as of this moment we are being pitched by LNG Speculators the need to import it to the U.S. via Warrenton, Bradwood Landing and Coos Bay and we are finding that it may not be necessary do so.

Let's reprogram to debate the export of it when the market says that's what we need to do.

My understanding is that North America needs to be weaning itself from fossil fuel dependency and using Natural Gas as the bridge to do so.

We going to have enough to do so and export it too?

Curious that Astoria Plumbing And Tile is still an active, domestic business registered with oregon secretary of state and registered to Ann and David Samuelson with agent of record Blair Henningsgaard.

Sold her business did she?

think of LNG as the filler and the ships the conduit-in essence, a transoceanic pipeline--Cant you see the sense in it? So far the official word is there is a untapped 100 year supply, not to mention the yet untapped resources of northwestern USA and Canada-add in the sandbag factor that cagey petroleum developers/producers always use and it says there is no way no how anybody would import foriegn sourced LNG to the west coast-Why would they? It'd be like importing wheat or lumber
