College seeks to secure local funding for campus renovation

Clatsop Community College Board members are moving ahead with a plan to secure local funding for redeveloping the Jerome Avenue campus in Astoria that could be key to obtaining $100,000 in promised grant money.College leaders agreed at a regular meeting Tuesday that a $5 million bond measure would provide the final chunk of money needed to start going out for construction bids. It would also afford some elbow room for the project's estimated $25 million price tag, and it would help foot the bill for matching funds required by public and private backers.......Click On Title Above For Full Article
