Liquified natural gas terminal would undercut green economy

It is unfortunate that the Oregon AFL-CIO's president, Tom Chamberlain, confuses short-term, temporary jobs with the very real opportunities that Oregon is presented with as solar power, wind energy and energy efficiency start to replace costly fossil fuels to make the state's economy strong.

that's the problem i also have with rory's piece. it's simply unrealistic to assume we can replace fossil fuels with renewables. we aren't there yet. i hope someday we are but for now natural gas is the cleanest (cheapest) form of mainstream energy we have now.

is LNG the answer? maybe, maybe not but natural gas is definitely the answer for now.

putting it politely, rory is ahead of his time. and like brent foster, probably gets paid good money to preach the gospel of ecodom.

i hope to be preaching it too (soon!) i'm working on becoming LEED accredited. holy cow, there's a lot to becoming a LEED.

Hey McGee
Fuck you and the pig you fuck.

I presume you think this kind of language will have some impact on the issue and impress somebody with your level of intellect?

It doesn't.

How ironic!

I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

By the way, did you get a call on an investment package from a guy named Denny with Gulf Coast Western?

I can't play in that offer but, I have the portfolio if you want to come by and pick it up.

there was some good information in the packet though.

thanks for thinking of me.

i prolly won't be taking the leed exam for another year. there's a ton of information to study.
