Clatsop County: The North/South Divide

Somebody want to take a shot at explaining exactly what that, "The North/South County Divide", is?

The subject was brought up at a dinner party last night and when queried as to what she meant, the exclaimer had no clue "now that you ask it but, Commissioner Samuelson says it all the time about doing away with it."

I guess you can all guess where it went after that but, please, you got an answer?

Give it to us.

must have been a "dinner party" of people who havnt lived around here very long--like a bunch of Californians or other carpet bagging scum.

Everyone who's lived here all their lives no what the north/south divide is all about

So...you want to share it with those that don't know so they can maybe start making some headway in changing it as those that have lived since forever don't seem to be doing a damned thing about except reminding us that there is one?

The north, south county divide is 'them versus us'.

Screw'em...if all these hotshots moving in here are so all knowing and superior to the lowly locals then they should haven't any trouble figuring it out--

Hotshots?

All-knowing and superior to the locals?

That would be commissioner samuelson the teflon donette.

Now, "Anonym 2:48PM" cool your jets would you?

Save that crap for someplace else.

You got the wrong Marc but I am a district-5 resident and recipent of samuelson's leadership.

Yeah yeah yeah, whatever...one thing for sure Sammuelson has really made your life a living hell, I'm sure, as she has delighted grinding you beneath the heel of her iron boot ever since you flounced in here and decided you dont like what may happen here so you get all outraged as if you actually have a goddamn thing to do with any of it.

Ann Samuelson is toast and her pals to.

north-south county divide?
Ann Samuelson

North = the people who have lived here for generations

South = The influx of greedy entitled Californians who think they can push people around

North= the Astoria/Warrenton area
South= the Seaside area AKA South County
There has been a divide between these 2 areas for years. When Samuelson says this, she means she would like to bridge the divide between the 2 communities.
The intelligence here astounds and abounds....lol.
You really couldn't figure that one out on your own?
Slow down, McGee, you might hurt yourself, thinkin' way too hard.....

Slow down?

Everybody knows what you said and that is just the generalization but what is the exact cause and what is the solution?

I will even invite Ann Samuelson to respond to it, explain it and present a solution.

She hasn't so far and I don't anticipate her doing so anytime soon because I don't think she has a "Hoot-in-Hell's" idea about it any more than you do.

Whoa, that is really big of you, McGee. Doubt anyone would take an invitation from a wack job stalker like you-it's well documented that you've been cyber stalking Ms. Sammuelson for years now...and when she says, "come on, meet me for coffee" you nut up like teenage retard. May I add that your arrogance is only surpassed by your ignorance.

I've got the miles on my car to prove I've got even better than a Hoot in Hells idea of what it is, it just takes alot of time, networking, and getting others to want to join in, and that has been happening. The port is engaging, that never happened before, the county is more attentive, and working on getting even more attentive in the future to the needs of south county when I continue to bring concerns of my constituents forward. It is unfortunate that this recall effort has taken us backward, but I continue to move forward to bridge the gap. Still offerin' the coffee to ya.

Once again,as would be predicted, skirting and diverting the issue and any attempt at resolution.

I ask again, inluding Clatsop County Commissioner, Ann Samuelson, who uses bridging it as one of her main goals of accomplishment in serving her district, what is the North/South Clatsop County Divide and what is causing it and how do we bridge it?

Since you choose not to give us an answer on the North/South County Divide, much less exactly what it is, let me ask you what progress you are making in bringing sustainable family wage jobs and industry to South County?
