Lease deal for proposed LNG terminal site in Astoria draws fire

Opponents of a proposed liquid natural gas terminal near Astoria are asking Gov. Ted Kulongoski for an investigation into a lease of public land to Oregon LNG to build the plant. They question the lease deal, negotiated in 2004 by the Port of Astoria's since-fired director, the Oregon Department of State Lands and Calpine, the predecessor to Oregon LNG.
