From CRK: Clean Energy Rally In Salem, January 13, 2009

Hello All:January 13th we are holding a Clean Energy Rally at the capital steps in Salem to promote renewable energy development and oppose LNG!

This is your chance to join hundreds of residents from the Pacific Northwest to raise our voices in support of a clean energy future for our region!

Earlier this year, on February 6th, we held a very successful rally on the steps of the capitol building.

With more than 300 folks in attendance and speakers ranging from affected landowners and fisherman to conservationists and elected officials, this rally marked a turning point in our fight against LNG.

This year we hope to double our attendance and need you to be a part of that effort! Please come to this important rally for clean energy!January 13th, 11AM-1PM on the capitol steps in SalemBring your signs, tractors, fishing boats, friends, families and voices.

Help our message to be heard: We want clean, renewable energy -- not more foreign fossil fuels!

We are currently organizing buses and carpools from all over the region. If you are interested in carpooling or taking a bus, please contact me at oliviariver@gmail.com and I will help you find the option that works best for you! Also -- if you are interested in coming early or staying late to participate in a meeting with your legislator to talk about LNG and upcoming LNG legislation for the 2009 session, please let me know.

I will make sure that you get to the right meeting at the right time!

Thanks to all of you for your participation in this fight! Please attend -- there is strength in numbers!-Olivia Schmidt Columbia Riverkeeper and Sierra Club(971)533-2390 oliviariver@gmail.com
