The Bradwood Testimonials; Union Leader, Cliff Davis, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers

Announcer;
“Why do you support Bradwood Landing?
Business Manager of I .B.E.W.(International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) , Local 48, Cliff Davis.”

Cliff Davis;
If the Bradwood Landing project is not approved, I believe that the message that would be sent is that Oregon is not open to future economic development.
That we are going to place values of environment over economy, which is not realistic.

We need to create a balance between the two so that we have future “Family Wage” jobs in this area.”

Announcer;
“Bradwood Landing is good for the economy and good for the Columbia.”

I wonder, does this mean that unions are not interested in the environment, just money? Or, does it mean at least this union has done the research to determine that Bradwood will truly be advantageous to the community without harming the environment?

I know this man. He does not even stand for his own union he has been promoted in, to work now in DC at the international office. He is a Mason and as one was informed of a fellow IBEW member who having retired from the CWA and 5 years as a Sound/Communications IBEW member, opened a non-union shop that was in direct competition with union shops. The man who did this obtained precious market share contracts at Intel and was himself a ring wearing, thumb-bumping mason. The whole local 48 front office turned the other way because unless you are a mason, you do not fit in.

I am glad to having seen the Bradwood landing project fail because I live close by. Fellow down-river members of IBEW did not want it either. The people who promoted B.L. left millions in unpaid permit fees and the people of the communities had to pay for them when B.L. was a dead deal. It was all done on credit.
These masons have ruined the IBEW and though they have control of the administration of IBEW matters, they have been hoodwinked at their own game by another group that came into the IBEW to get a foothold of market share. I saw it first hand how a group moved right into the front office of a major Masonic contractor to learn how to bill on the big jobs at INTEL.
How do you like them apples?
