House-Buying Fees Increase Under Bill
Paper filing - Three-quarters of recording charges would go to low income housing

SALEM -- Paperwork for Oregon homebuyers would get more expensive, and the extra money would pay for affordable housing under a bill approved Tuesday by the House.
Recording fees -- money charged to file papers during the sale of a house -- would rise by $15 per document, from $11 to $26. The extra fees would bring in an estimated $44 million over the next four years.....Click On Link Below For Full Story
