Oregon Attorney General's 20 Worst Charities List For 2010

Charities are required to file periodic financial reports with the Oregon Department of Justice
documenting their national fundraising and expenditures and explaining how donations were
spent. Under guidelines issued by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), organizations should
dedicate at least 65% of their funds to charitable programs, with no more than 35% toward
administrative and fundraising costs.

Kroger is a bum. As far as charities are concerned it's Caveat Emptor--He should concern himself more with legal issues pertaining exlusively to Oregon instead of seeking publicity chasing questionable charities

Let's see, a charity doing business in Oregon taking contributions with a little less than 94% of the total take going into the pockets of the administrators and the rest, only, going to the recipients of the cause?

I would say he is doing his job don't you think?
