And the Marquis haters(The same crowd as last time?) are lining-up to attack his budget because of a long overdue stipend increase?

You think the planning commission reshuffle might get budget committee to pay a bit closer attention?

A long overdue stipend increase? Since when do DA's get automatic stipend increases? Marquis deserves nothing. He may get an increase or not at the pleasure of the Commission.

Well, if that's the way the County wants to spend its money in this time of financial crisis, I guess we will get what we deserve.

The county also spent $2,000,000 without asking and out of timber money special funds, for a Transition Center.

Whatever happened to that facility?

Schmitty,
The County got a way to deal with criminals that was a lot cheaper than keeping them in jail. That's what they got. If you know anything about corrections you know that half way houses are less expensive than full incarceration, regardless what the Bergin defenders say. Additionally, I though most of that money was from grants. What about that Schmitty?
