John Kroger's administration: Holding our public officials to a higher standard

Guest columnist Jack Roberts usually gets it right, but his attack on Attorney General John Kroger misses the point by a mile. Roberts claims that the increased prosecution (400 percent) of misconduct cases under Kroger's administration has been manufactured to pave Kroger's way to higher office. I, for one, am so pleased that our District Attorney has the time and inclination to write an Oregonian editorial on the wonderfulness of Attorney General Kroger. Of course, Josh and most of his other guys, supported Kroger's election so what can they do? And, there is no mention in Josh's writing about the problems with Kroger's belief that contracts are not necessary in government (UofO football coaches) or that honesty is not important (the guy who took water samples then lied about it). I suppose that is what we should expect from people who are so very well trained to focus people on their view rather than the truth. Kroger should be very appreciative that he has supporters like the Clatsop County District Attorney.
