Clatsop County Planning Staff Says: "Go With State Sale"

Scott Derickson this morning said County Planning Staff, in their Findings of Fact, supports the sale of Delaura Beach to the State of Oregon as originally recommended.

Now our "Bleeding" County Board of Commissioners, with an estranged Commissioner who states Planning Staff is essentially inexperienced and don't know what the heck they are doing, has it in their hands today, 02-27-2008, for final disposition.

Good Lord, I wouldn't even trust the commission to clean a hamster cage without screwing something up, and they're in charge of deciding the fate of DeLaura Beach?

One can only hope they'll grow a brain, unlikely as it may be, and sell DeLaura to the state.

They shouldn't be allowed to make any decisions until the recall issue is settled.

Let's hope, with all the scrutiny and negative public perception weighing upon them these days, that their egos and vindictiveness will not prevail here and do, in the public's interest, what they know they should do and keep that property in the hands of those they serve.
