Backers of a referendum on Clatsop County's approval of the Bradwood Landing liquefied natural gas project submitted 1,255 signatures to the county clerk this morning - more than twice the 598 signatures needed to put the issue on the ballot in September.
County residents Marc Auerbach, Debbie Twombly and Don West filed the ballot referendum petition in April to challenge the Clatsop County Commission's decision to change county law and allow gas pipelines from LNG terminals to run through lands zoned for open space, parks and recreation.
Clatsop County Citizens for Commons Sense, the group formed to spearhead the referendum effort, gathered signatures Friday at multiple locations throughout the county......For Full Story Click On Title Above
