Three prominent career prosecutors have expressed interest in becoming the next U.S. attorney for Oregon if the Obama administration replaces Bush appointee Karin Immergut.
Dwight C. Holton, an assistant U.S. attorney for Immergut who worked in the Clinton administration, has applied for the job. So has one of the state's best-known district attorneys, Josh Marquis of Clatsop County. Tough choice for locals. Chances are you want to get rid of him, but do you want him to hold such a powerful position?
